Saw Up! yesterday. Fantastic film. Moved into one of my favourite films of all time. It's sweet, and funny, and brilliantly done.

Guess it was because i went in with low expectations?

I saw this yesterday, thought it was retarded as hell, but it moved so fast that it rarely gave you much time to think about how stupid it all was, and so it mostly got away with it. Mostly. Dunno if I'd watch it again, but I was entertained enough to justify its running time, and it was certainly better than I expected (I anticipated nothing but...pain).

Last two days I've also watched World's Greatest Dad (very good), The Ruins (surprisingly good), and the second remake of the Taking of Pelham 123 (not bad, but nowhere near as good as the original).

Watched Cobra last night, pure cheese, but I still enjoy it.

Love to see an uncut version one day, to see the full intended film before the MPAA got their grubby mits on it back in the day, and forced a lot of the more graphic violence to be cut prior to release, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Loved it, some of the lines were cool and gave me a chuckle
Seeing Powergirl do her thing was cool too

In the last week & a half;

Whip It - loved it, shame it hasn't taken off, it seems like a real winner (seen it twice already!).
Surrogates - great ideas, fairly well played out. I enjoyed it for a think-but-not-too-much movie.
Julie & Julia - thoroughly enjoyed this, I'm a bit of a travel foodie so it was right up my alley as well as being great from an "Attempt something and damn well finish it" kind of motivation.
Funny People - totally not what I expected, kinda depressing and an unfortunate mix of movie-esque & real life ending. Wasn't all *that* funny and could have done without a *lot* of the uses of the f word. General conversation doesn't need it that often.

The Forbidden Kingdom - Wow, what a fun film! I d/l'd this on a whim. Reminiscent of both the Monkey television series and Big Trouble in Little China.

I believe the DVD is on sale at JB this week @ $12.98 so I'm off to buy me a copy.

And don't forget the inexplicable RANDOM PENIS ZOOM! Laughing

I thought it was okay, I found it interesting enough to see Dean Stockwell's (Cavill) view of events, and it was nice to see Rick Worthy (Simon) get a bit more screentime and finally get his due, as he was one of the most neglected and short changed of the Human Cylons over the course of the show.

That said, it didn't really add anything new or particularly significant to the story, and there were no great revelations, so I can see how it might disappoint some people.

Very hard to find a decent video game to big screen conversion, even harder to find a movie that hasn't been tainted by Uwe Boll. Last movie I watched was Monster vs Aliens - pretty good but not Pixar good.

Yeah the rules made it for me, really set it apart from other zombie movies, the way the text interacts with the film was excellent!
