Despite to incredible love for film, I have an incredibly small range when it comes to describing what I view on screen....other to say a film was either really cool, really good, excellent or just fantastic.
Moon fits into all of those categories. Sam Rockwell is truly amazing in the role.....even more so once you watch the making of doc and see how challenging playing against himself was.
Believe it or not, I found the film to be incredibly touching.....and found myself in tears during one particular moment. Sad

Finally saw Avatar. The dormant fetish I had for blue chicks as a child over Smurfette is reawakened.

Great movie too.

Prey for Rock n Roll. A fave of mine, and I just got the soundtrack today (cost me a small fortune, considering) from Amazon.com - so so stoked, can't wait to listen to it.

Astro Boy. Visually cool but it could have been better. It was pretty cold when compared to the old TV show. I remember a number of episodes that resulted in the odd tear as a youngster - hard to forget that while watching the movie.

Just saw The Informant. Weird. Soderbergh directed, starring Matt Damon. Pretty straight forward story about a whistleblower with a couple of twists. Except it's set in the 90's, but has all of these 70's stylings, which is kind of off-putting.

Just finished watching Toy Story and Toy Story 2 on Blu Ray....boy, these are just spectcular in 1080p.
I do have a gripe with TS2 though.....The changing of the TV station close fireworks/revolving earth (during Buzz's motivational speech to the other toys) to the American Flag Sad
I just despise film-makers changing scenes in their films. I don't mind a Director's Cut as such, but a cosmetic change like this to appeal to the American Patriot is kinda stupid IMO.

Didn't know TS was available on blu-ray until I flicked through the latest JB flyer this arvo at lunch - $50 for both movies. TS is one of my fav movies of all time.

Guess it's time to bundle the old DVDs up and pass them onto my mate's kids. Have they released The Incredibles, Bug's Life etc?
